We are a Sisterhood of Artisans.
The Nations Hope Store is a ministry of Global Partners in Peace and Development, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Founded in 2003, Global Partners brings help and hope to communities in need worldwide. We primarily serve in South Asia, Haiti, Slovakia, Jordan, and Uganda. In 2012, we launched our first sewing skills program for 21 women. As the Nations' Hope program has continued, many women have learned trades in order to provide income for their families.
At Nations' Hope Store Makers' Events, each lady learns how to create an item for sale in our online store, and she is paid onsite based on the number of products successfully completed. Regular attendees grow in sewing, artisanal, and business skills, which can translate into their own entrepreneurial contexts. Nations' Hope is so much more than a business endeavor. NHS leaders intentionally build relationships, where they can encourage the women through corporate worship, optional Bible studies, prayer, and discipleship opportunities.
All proceeds from the Nations Hope Store are poured directly back into our mission. The funds are used to help buy materials, pay apprentices for their work, purchase sewing machines for program graduates, and kickstart new businesses.
